What is Disaster Donkies and what is this Mail Club ?
Disaster Donkies is a creative universe I have been developing for the past 2 years composed of a variety of mixed media projects. Initially meant to be a creative playground for myself, it quickly became a way for me to explore cohesive creative projects without imposed limitations. You can find all of the relevant works here.
This Mail Club, also called Disaster Donkies : Disastrous Anthology, gets exclusive artworks and stickers snail mailed to you every month at a monthly fee. Every month I will select a new illustration to be featured within newly created ones or existing ones that would be a good fit. The images will for the most part be black and white pieces drawn/painted traditionally and then scanned, although experimentation is not out of the question if it remains visually cohesive. Items for the upcoming month will be announced before hand on my socials, newsletter, as well as on the Mail Club’s dedicated webpage.
What do I get ?
Every sending is comprised of :
- 1 high quality soft touch postcard (A6 300mgs) of an exclusive illustration
- 1 short piece of writing at the back of the postcard journaling the image
- 1 vinyl sticker of the illustration (or a part of it, or maybe another visual if that’s what fits best)

Disastrous Anthology acts as a collection of images. While they come from the same visual universe, they are not linked to one another. However, as the collection of images grows, an ensemble will clearly appear. At the back, texts supply a certain level of narration to the image, both of these are meant to work in tandem. Simply put, this is a way for me to create and share interesting visuals using my character and the graphical world I’ve been building, while also telling stories.
The quality of of the goods, both physically as artistically, as well as their reception is extremely important to me. So please, absolutely feel free to give your feedback via email or comments.
How much does it cost ?
The mail costs 9 CHF/month. Shipping fees are included (i know what a great deal ☆), therefore the price remains the same no matter where you’re situated.
This is a recurring monthly subscription, but you are free to cancel it at anytime ! Just make sure to do so on the website before the next billing date !
When can I sign up ? When does mail ship ?
You are free to sign up until the last day of the ongoing month (midnight CET), and items will be mailed during the first half of the following month. Example: Sign up until March 31st 23:59 CET. Mail is sent in the first 2 weeks of April (all depends on how production goes).
If you wish to cancel your membership, please do so before before your next billing date in your account section here.
Example : Subscribing on the 20th of June will give you access to the June Mail Club. Your subscription will then renew on the 20th of July giving you access to the July Mail Club, unless cancelled beforehand.
